The third season of "Στην Πρίζα" brings energy policy into direct conversation with geopolitics and household costs, while the series continues to evolve as an established audio channel for IPTO. In the opening episode, Dr Konstantinos Filis discusses with journalist Giannis Foskolos how the new phase in Greek Turkish relations, the United States Turkey relationship and competition in Eastern Mediterranean projects affect Greece's energy position. Later episodes with Stelios Psomas and Despina Paliarouta focus on the challenges facing the Greek photovoltaic market, the role of storage and networks, self consumption systems and the design of energy saving programmes aimed at easing retail electricity prices.
The season also looks closely at pricing mechanisms and system stability. Energy economist Dr Kostas Andriosopoulos talks with journalist Marina Protonotariou about the impact of CO2 costs and natural gas prices on retail tariffs, the role of the Energy Exchange and the need to support system operators so they can deliver critical infrastructure, interconnections and storage. In another episode, Dianeosis Research Director Fai Makantasi joins journalist Kostas Deligiannis to examine how the post pandemic and Russia Ukraine crises have offset the expected benefits of the green transition on electricity prices, and why high renewables penetration, exports, storage projects and grid upgrades are central to long term system resilience.
