Launched in 2024, the first season of “Στην Πρίζα” introduces IPTO’s podcast as a space where energy policy, markets and infrastructure are discussed in clear, accessible terms. Through a series of in-depth conversations, the season follows how Greece is navigating the green transition, from European targets and pricing pressures to grid resilience and interconnections. Danezis Stories supports the series by shaping a consistent audio experience that brings these complex discussions closer to a wider audience.
Across ten episodes, key decision-makers and experts sit down with leading journalists to unpack the country’s energy agenda. Minister of Environment and Energy Thodoros Skylakakis talks with Thodoris Panagoulis, while Deputy Minister Alexandra Sdoukou joins Nikos Filippidis to discuss European policy, energy prices and security of supply. Professor Stavros Papathanassiou (NTUA) speaks with Kostas Deligiannis about storage and grid readiness, and Konstantinos Papailiou (President of CIGRE) with Michalis Mastorakis on global electrification, high-voltage upgrades and the nuclear debate. Athanasios Dagoumas (President of RAAEY) with Giorgos Fintikakis, Stelios Loumakis (President of SPEF) with Mahi Tratsa and Panagiotis Papastamatiou (General Director of ELETAEN) with Christos Kolonas explore grid resilience, RES integration, investment pressures and the balance between solar and wind.
The season also looks at how markets, offshore wind and geopolitics intersect with national energy planning. Alexandros Papageorgiou (CEO of the Greek Energy Exchange) speaks with Charis Floudopoulos about how the Energy Exchange shapes prices from wholesale to retail. Aristofanis Stefatos (CEO of HEREMA) and Marianna Tzanne discuss Greece’s offshore wind prospects and hydrocarbon exploration within the green transition. Professor Theodoros Tsakiris and journalist Giannis Foskolos examine interconnections, surplus electricity and the strategic dimension of the Greece–Cyprus–Israel axis. For Danezis Stories, Season 1 demonstrates how a podcast format can host a serious, structured conversation on energy while remaining approachable for listeners beyond the expert community.
